I am looking for an Architectural Technician for my client’s Truro office. The current project range from Residential, Healthcare, Education, Commercial Building, and Public Sector works and you would join an existing team in the Truro office. Ideally, you would have consultancy experience within some of these sectors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in producing detailed drawings for construction purposes.
- Assist in preparing building regulation packs, submissions, and monitoring processes.
- Skillfully convert external architect’s drawings to adhere to our CAD standards, ensuring consistency and inclusion of vital information.
- Update and modify drawings to “as-built” issue to reflect accurate representations.
- Maintain a comprehensive drawing register of all produced drawings.
- Contribute to the creation of marketing plans.
- Prepare floor area summary spreadsheets for sales specifications.
- Generate door and window schedules into MS Excel from architectural drawings.
What You Will Need:
- In-depth knowledge of current building regulations.
- Familiarity with NHBC/LABC standards.
- Previous experience in residential new build projects and planning submissions.
- Proficiency in conducting measured surveys.
- Excellent skills in AutoCAD LT.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication abilities to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
