Bridge Engineer

My client is wishing to recruit an experienced Bridge Engineer to join an established bridge design team in the South West. You will be taking a technical role in delivering bridge design, assessment, and project management services throughout all stages of major project development, involved in the delivery of solutions for smaller bridge maintenance schemes as well as bridge assessments.
As a Bridge Engineer, you will be working on a variety of project types, sizes, and complexities.
Your responsibilities will include the preparation of bridge-related structural scheme designs at feasibility, optioneering and detailed design stages, both for new build and modification to existing structures. You will provide technical direction and mentoring to graduate engineers and/or technicians.
Criteria
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
CEng or near Chartered.
Experience in the UK bridges/highway sector
Extensive experience of design analysis and assessment of structures using Structural analysis software such as Superstress or LUSAS.
Experience of liaising and negotiating with client representatives and senior staff.
Able to produce well-presented and accurate reports.
