The Position
The Commercial Manager will effectively manage costs for the project, ensure targets are met by managing and controlling budget and valuations including monthly updating of final costs. To include:
- Provide input and cost and value engineering advice throughout the design life of the scheme and attend design team meetings.
- Strive to optimise the profitability of the Scheme
- Ensure that the Contracts achieve the optimum cashflow position.
- Ensure that all contract documentation and sub-contract documentation is completed and forwarded to the Commercial Manager/Director for authorisation and storage.
- Prepare and manage key and large risk subcontract accounts from inception to final accounts.
- Subcontract procurement strategy and implementation.
- Minor material & prelims procurement
- Preparing monthly CVR/CVC reports for presentation to the Business Unit Management
The Requirements
You will have worked for a residential contractor previously and understand the entire lifecycle from Land Acquisition through to Handover
- Experience in both residential development and modular construction
- Construction Related Qualification
- Understanding of sales process and market conditions
