Electrician

I am currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Inspection and Testing Electrician to join the team of a local maintenance contractor in North Devon. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting electrical inspections and testing to ensure that all electrical installations and equipment are safe and comply with the relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine electrical inspections and testing on all electrical installations and equipment, including fixed wiring, portable appliances, and lighting systems.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnosis of electrical systems and equipment.
• Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations for remedial action where required.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including BS7671, NICEIC and Health and Safety legislation.
• Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to schedule inspections and communicate findings and recommendations.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to other members of the team as required.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained to ensure accurate testing and inspection results.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements:

• NVQ level 3 in Electrotechnical installations
• Qualified to City and Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in inspection and testing of electrical systems and equipment.
• Knowledge of BS7671 regulations, NICEIC requirements and Health and Safety legislation.
• Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving license.
