Highways Drainage Engineer

We have a position for a Highways Drainage Engineer, please see below a job description for the position.

• Develop drainage solutions for highway, infrastructure and site development schemes for feasibility, planning, tender, and detailed design stages of the project
• Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microdrainage software
• Design of sustainable drainage systems (SUDS) with good knowledge of relevant current standards and guidelines
• Complete technical work including, Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications, Surface Water Management Plans, Drainage Impact Assessments, Drainage Strategy and detailed SuDS Design using AutoCAD and/or Microdrainage
• Have some knowledge and experience of s278 and s38 schemes including highway design
• Manage projects
• 3-5 years’ experience in drainage engineering
• Have a good working knowledge of best practice standards, guidelines, current trends and legislation in order to deliver innovative and practical traffic and transport
• Salary dependent on experience and is negotiable
• Based in Bristol area
