Girling Jones have an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Installs Engineer to join the award winning team in Bristol. Performing Small Works projects, such as boiler room installations, pipefitting, plumbing fit outs and plant upgrades in our fast paced and rapidly expanding Small Works Team.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills in addition to their practical skills, as they will be required to interact at all levels including our clients.

Role Overview for the Installs Engineer
- Full time permanent position, working 42.5 hrs per week (plus overtime)
- Commercial/Domestic heating, plumbing and upgrade works
- AC and renewable installations
- Responsible for a variety of minor installations across multiple sites
- Ability to run and co-ordinate your own projects
- Complete relevant compliance paperwork and report diligently
- Work in a customer focused environment where quality and service is paramount
- Ensure every task is carried out to the highest standard of workmanship and safety
- Availability for out of hours call out, and occasional weekend work
Required skills
- Recognised Domestic and Commercial gas qualifications
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Ability to work to tight deadlines to ensure a small works project comes in on time and in budget.
- CSCS card
- RAMS & PTW working knowledge and experience
FGAS & Renewable energy would be desirable
Person spec
- Experience in a dynamic and reactive maintenance role
- Full driving license
- DBS check
- Ability to work from plans but able to take initiative to lead self
- A customer focused attitude
- Flexible mindset for reactive tasks
- Possess a high degree of attention to detail
- Awareness of Health and Safety
- Highly customer focused
- Experience of working within a mobile workforce
- Experience dealing with customers and suppliers
