Looking to join a friendly MEP consultancy? Our client are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services Engineering) to join their Exeter, and newly set up Southampton offices. As part of their key design team, you will assist with the preparation of schemes across a variety of sectors at locations throughout the United Kingdom.
Reporting to the Director of Building Services, the Mechanical Engineer will have a supporting role with mechanical, electrical, and public health services on projects. The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, able to multi-task and manage several live projects simultaneously however will received ample support where required and as such we can offer an opoproitunity from Junior Design Engineers through to Principal Design / Associate Design Engineers.
A dedication to the role is required to succeed, but the benefits and rewards are substantial. Over the next five years, the successful candidate will be able to see the growth of a small business into a multi-discipline Building Services Consulting business.
The ideal applicant will possess a good understanding of mechanical services design across various building types and industry sectors, as well as a reasonable understanding of electrical and public health services design.
Key principal accountabilities include assisting with the preparation of design schemes, undertaking mechanical services calculations, preparing CAD drawings, preparing specifications, and assisting with the preparation of M&E services drawings and schemes.
