Pre Construction Manager – Utilities

We are working in collaboration with this leading utility service provider, looking to procure a Pre-Construction Manager for the business

The majority of our work is delivered within long-term clients and framework contracts with a focus is on delivering efficiently and to ensure excellence in service to our clients. Key expertise includes pumping stations, processing plants, tunnelling, clean and waste water

Joining the team, you will specifically involve yourself in the Planned & Reactive Maintenance projects, typically ranging in value form £500,000 – £1.5M 

Key Duties:

• Analyse Tender documents and resource and manage a suitable bid team to deliver the bids.
• Development of the bid win strategy to maximise chances of winning at commercial sustainable rates
• Ensure all bids taken to finalisation have a clear profit enhancement strategy.
• Support construction management to achieve their continuous improvement goal at all levels across the bid.
• Plan, co-ordinate, maintain and develop staff levels to effectively undertake current and prospective workloads.
• Provide operational teams with clearly defined bid responsibilities.
• Support construction management to achieve their continuous improvement goal at all levels across the bid.
• Arrange and lead tender review meetings and report to the Head of Preconstruction on progress.
• Assist construction management (following award) to establish contacts with client staff and attend pre-commencement meetings.
• Manage direct staff within the Pre contract bid teams as required.

What are we looking for:

• Ideally, we are looking for an experienced Pre-Construction Manager but would also consider a Contracts Manager, Program Manager, Senior PM who wants to move into this kind of role
• Water experience is preferred 
• Relevant civil engineering qualifications
