Site Manager/Site Supervisor, Honiton
Rate: £17-£23 per hour depending on experience, temp to perm role
Role: Site Manager/Supervisor (no2 on site) working alongside a Site based Project Manager to oversee a new-build timber frame extension and some refurbishment/alteration to an existing school for an award winning regional main contractor.
Individual: Ideally the candidate would have experience of timber frame construction and working in the education sector although not essential.
Daily roles and responsibilities will consist of:
- Opening and closing of the site, ensuring the site perimeter/security is maintained
- Managing the day-to-day H&S including permits & inspections
- Completing the induction process
- Completing the daily diary
- Supervising/co-ordination of sub-contractors onsite
- Managing/ordering materials from pre-arranged suppliers
- Supervising compliance with supplied drawings
- Reporting to their line manager on a daily basis
- Ideally proficient in the Microsoft office package and willing to learn how to use ‘Procore’
This would suit an Assistant SM looking for the next step in their career or an intermediate Site Manager. Candidate will come from a trade background such as carpentry, painting and decorating, plastering or have relevant construction academic qualifications. They will need to have some supervisory experience and possess a minimum of SSSTS, CSCS Card and first aid. Due to the live operation of the school the candidate will need to pass a DBS check.
The role is for 6 months with the option of going permanent after the contract finishes.
