Finance Manager | Specialist Contractor | Circa £50k + benefits

I am working with a privately owned construction business in Bristol to recruit a Finance Manager for their growing commercial team.
Established for nearly ten years, this company have become well known for their technical and interesting residential builds. Values range from £1-9million and they generally have up to eight live projects running concurrently. Based in Bristol, they largely work across the South West, sometimes going further afield due to referrals from their satisfied clients.
As Finance Manager, you will have full responsibility and control of the financial function of the company. Under your remit will be the commercial team which includes two Quantity Surveyors currently. They are going through a growth period so this should grow to include another QS and Finance Assistant.
Previous experience in a similar role as a Finance Manager is a must, although there will be support to get you up to speed with how things are run with them.
An understanding of the construction industry would be beneficial but is not a must – personality, attention to detail and an innovative way of thinking is much more important.
Other requirements include:
- Ideally holding a recognised accounting qualification
- Solid understanding of the Finance Manager role
- Excellent people skills – ability to work with a range of individuals and build positive relationships
