The Company
This construction company are renowned for their quality delivery of projects across a broad range of sectors, primarily residential, generally valuing between £10M – £50M
Specifically the Planning and Development Manager will be join the team down in St Austell to deliver a portfolio of projects, predominantly within the residential field
The Role
Reporting into the Head of Development, this role will play a pivotal part in the preconstruction stages of the business.
Specifically, duties will include the following:
- To ensure the delivery of planning permissions in line with company targets, for both land led contracting and open market opportunities
- Provide input into feasibility studies for land acquisitions, lead through planning development and coordination, approvals and appeals prior to handover to the technical teams
- Maintaining the company reputation for delivering high quality homes and providing excellent customer service
- Provide planning appraisals/risk assessments for initial development proposals
- Negotiate any planning conditions, Section 106 agreements and associated obligations
What do you need?
The ideal candidate will be in a Planning Manager or Development Manager role for a regional or national housebuilder.
You will also have the following:
- HNC or equivalent Level 5 Construction related qualification
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and Health and Safety in the construction industry
- Experience and proven ability of the planning system with high customer satisfaction results
- IT knowledge of MS Project and Office Packages
