Project Manager
This is a fantastic client-side Project Manager opportunity with responsibility for delivering major water infrastructure schemes across the Somerset region. Individual scheme values will range from £2M to £80M with the Project Manager taking responsibility for leading projects from cradle to grave, feasibility through to concept design, delivery, construction and handover. As such prior experience from a contracting perspective is essential. The Project Manager opportunity will involve management of subcontractors including designers and appointed contractors or the organisations self delivery arm. Prior Project Manager experience with involvement in ECI and good contractual knowledge ideally of NEC4 with pain & gain mechanism clause (X12) is desirable.
This Project Manager opportunity provides full flexibility to work from home/office/site or adopt a fully hybrid structure. Your Project Manager role will involve managing between 6-8 schemes at varying stages which will require a versatile multi disciplinary approach. Your direct reports will include a Construction Manager and Design Coordinator who in turn will take responsibility for management of subcontractors.
A few essentials:
- The ability to demonstrate a blend of construction & office-based management experience.
- Working knowledge of the H&S at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR regulations 1995, CDM Regulations 2015.
- A safety focused training courses either CITB 5 day SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Relevant technical, contractual and legislative knowledge & experience.
- The ability to communicate to a range of steak holders.
