Billable/ Small Works Manager
Location: Office based at Imjin Barracks ( Gloucester ) with a requirement to travel to other local sites within close proximity 
Salary: £38,000
  
This Business has been awarded places on the Defence FM and Housing Maintenance framework contracts. 
  
We are currently recruiting for a Billable Works Manager who will join our direct delivery team, managing a large pipeline of small project works up to £100k across several of our Gloucester sites.   
  
Reporting into the Built Estate Manager (BEM) you will liaise with direct delivery team and contractors to ensure all billable works are delivered efficiently and are compliant with statutory legislation, MoD requirements and H&S standards. This will include ensuring all billable work documentation/information is completed in a timely manner i.e. Statement of Need, Invoices, Purchase Orders, Maximo, etc. 
  
This role will see you provide technical support and advice to DIO and the customer, providing optimal solutions to meet customer requirements. Whilst you manage cost and stakeholder expectations through excellent communication and sound commercial decisions to ensure we provide value for money, you will also ensure any complaints are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner. 
  
Within this role you will be reviewing and approving RAMS to ensure they meet our health and safety standards. Working closely with Approved Persons (APs) you will ensure that all billable works carried out on site are conducted IAW with JSP375.  
  
What you’ll need to do this role  

  • Within this role you will use your previous experience managing small projects, including scoping/requirements gathering and your working knowledge of SFG20, CDM regulations and Asbestos to ensure high customer service. 
  • It is desirable that you hold Prince2 Foundation or equivalent qualification and/or hold a recognised qualification in a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. 
  • This role will see you travel to other local sites within close proximity therefore it is essential that you hold a clean and valid UK driving licence. 
  • It is desirable that you have experience of operating within either an MOD environment and have familiarity with geography and establishments within area of responsibility  
  • You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.  

  
  
What you’ll need to do this role

  • It is essential that you hold Prince2 Foundation or equivalent and desirable for you to hold a HND level qualification in a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience. 

  

  • This role will see you travel to other local sites within close proximity therefore it is essential that you hold a clean, valid UK driving licence.
  • It is desirable that you have experience of operating within either an MOD environment and have familiarity with geography and establishments within area of responsibility
  • You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
