As a Principal Engineer, you’ll join a close-knit team based in Devon. You will take charge of small to medium-sized teams and projects, driving sustainable outcomes for stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will involve serving as a lead civil and design engineer, offering expert guidance to the engineering teams. Ensuring top-notch quality assurance and safety practices throughout project cycles will also be integral to your role.
Day-to-day, you’ll collaborate extensively with diverse teams, including client representatives, contractors, and sub-consultants. A crucial aspect will involve mentoring junior engineers, and fostering their growth into future technical leaders.
For those interested in evolving into project management, you’ll handle client interactions, project team management, program oversight, commercial aspects, and risk management.
About You
Ideally, you will be Chartered or have equivalent qualifications in a relevant Civil Engineering discipline.
Strong background in structural and civil engineering design (water retaining structures, buildings, etc.). Proficiency in geotechnical engineering and foundation design.
Familiarity with Eurocodes and industry-standard design software.
