Most people will know that the name “Girling Jones” is synonymous with both high quality recruitment and mouth watering baked goods. For this reason office tensions during the month of October are high as all GJ employees prepare for their annual “trial of fire” – The Girling Jones Bake Off. Three teams, three rounds and a bare knuckle final. Few events in the culinary calendar reach these rarefied highs. Added pressure this year with the addition of Mark Smith representing our Welsh office, renowned for the culinary heavyweights Cawl and Bara Brith.
This week two teams kicked off the tournament and as always the range in skill and effort was incredibly broad. In the end three winners dominated the scoreboard and secured a place in the final
