When I left my first interview with Simon some 6 years ago, I walked out feeling incredibly excited and hopeful that I did enough to convince him to want me in the Girling Jones business. There were a few risks – relocating from London, joining a new company, not having a clue about the construction industry, however despite these risks, I was bought into Simon, his ambition, and the thought of being a part a new journey I found incredible appealing.
So 6 years later, I am still here, managing a team of 6 within the market leading construction recruitment business in the South West. It hasn’t always been easy, market challenges being at the forefront of this however as a business, we have gone from strength to strength. I have achieved personal career goals into a senior management role and have had the privilege of witnessing some huge milestones as a company, all in line with the vision we set out at the beginning.
