Dreams came true once again this year for four lucky winners of the Girling Jones Golf Day promises auction. The prize? Chef Girling, in the flesh, at their house, cooking three courses of the finest food this side of the Harvester in Exeter.
Each course was expertly paired with fine wines – Think Hardys, Blossom Hill and Paul Mason and Chef Girling even washed up between courses.
The evening, a total success, will go down in their family history as “the night we ate some food”.
*Feathers must have been ruffled with the bigwigs at the Michelin Guide and although a Michelin star wasn’t actually awarded their silence speaks volumes……..
