My client are a construction company that works in light steel frame and hot rolled steel. They supply the design and engineering for their structures. The product is outsourced to be manufactured/fabricated, and then they erect the structure on site.
Their construction sites are throughout the UK and supply top tier main contractors in the building industry.
Role: Estimator
Experienced Estimator required to join their busy commercial team in near Stroud in Gloucestershire. Working alongside two other Estimators.
Role includes:
- creating and submitting estimate proports or bids,
- understanding programme and project requirements,
- determining key variable for site,
- gathering data on labour costs, materials, production etc.
Candidate:
Must have understanding in load transfers. Educational background in civil engineering, construction or CAD technician with commercial interest preferred. Candidate must have good attention to detail and be confident in maths and Excel.
Blue beam software used for project analysis, forecasting and budgeting. This may suit a university graduate or someone already working in the role but looking for a new challenge.
Candidate will need to live with in a commutable distance from Stroud.
The Company offers 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays. Death in service. 5% employee, 4% employer pension contribution.
Hybrid role: mix of office and home working. Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm. Friday option of 7am to 3pm or 8am to 4pm.
Salary: Depending on experience £27,000 to £38,000 per annum.
