This company has contributed to key infrastructure across the South West region, with a chunk of repeat business, typically delivering projects ranging in value from £500k – £10M
The Position
Reporting into a Contracts Manager and being exposed to a variety of interesting contracts, initially, you will be responsible for a £5M infrastructure scheme in the heart of Somerset
Duties will include:
- Responsible for the day to day management of the project
- Responsible for the effective implementation of the safety management system
- Responsible for the direct line management of General Foreman, Site Engineers, Assistant/Section Managers
- Responsible for the control of access to site, who is on site, who is expected on site
- Responsible for managing short and medium term operational programmes (4 week look ahead)
The Individual
Ideally, you will have at least 5 years experience, ideally working for a civil engineering contractor, and be familiar with both JCT and NEC contracts. In addition to this, you will have:
- Construction Related Qualification
- Civils and Highways project experience on contracts up to £10M, preferred
- Driven, motivated and an all round positive person
