It’s been two years since the team at Fortress GJ have enjoyed each others tasty treats. However this week, the world famous ‘Girling Jones Bake-off’ returned to sunny Devon and the competition was fierce.
The rules are simple. Each division bakes their most moreish morsels and the rest of us score them based on taste and appearance.
The winners go through to a grand finale with the overall winner joining a prestigious hall of fame – ‘The Girling Jones Masterbakers’
A nervous first week saw team construction set the bar comfortably low with their playful take on ‘dryness’ and ‘toe curling sweetness’.
Well done to Joe Knowles who’s flapjacks (I think they were flapjacks) somehow came out on top.
As we enter week two it really is all to play for!
